Werner announces plans for Truck Driver Appreciation Week celebrations

Werner Enterprises, Inc. today said it has plans to celebrate National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, Sept. 14–20 at numerous facilities.

This week and next, Werner said it will host Driver Appreciation Week events across its network, including at major terminals in Lithia Springs, Georgia; Fontana, California; Phoenix; Dallas; West Memphis, Arkansas; Joliet, Illinois; and Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania and select Dedicated sites. 

The celebrations will bring together professional drivers, maintenance technicians, office associates and customers to show gratitude for the role professional drivers play, according to a statement from the company.

“National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is a time to recognize the incredible men and women who keep our country moving,” said Werner’s Chairman and CEO, Derek Leathers. “Professional drivers take on one of the most critical and demanding jobs in our economy.
