Trucking's top regulators appeared at the Mid-America Trucking Show Friday.

Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Administrator Derek Barrs attended MATS in Louisville, Kentucky. Both met with truckers, mand highlighted the department’s latest activities.

Duffy announced that MOTUS, a unified online registration system that will house all FMCSA forms in one place, is set to launch in about six weeks.

Duffy and Barrs also met with Dalilah Coleman, a young girl whose life was severely injured when an illegal immigrant trucker crashed into the back of her family’s car. To protect Americans and stop illegal immigrants from getting behind the wheel, the House recently passed Dalilah’s Law.

"I’m grateful to our strong House Republican leadership for putting Americans first. Representative Rouzer’s bill, Dalilah’s Law, codifies a simple premise: no English, no license," said Duffy. "Unqualified and unvetted foreigners have no business getting behind the wheel of an 80,000-pound vehicle and killing innocent American families."

MATS wraps up its three-day run at 4 p.m. today.
