Landstar System, Inc., announced its investment in fleet modernization through the purchase of 2,000 new dry van trailers, all featuring a refreshed design and key enhancements.
“The updated trailer design is a tangible sign of our commitment to safety, security, and service,” said Frank Lonegro, Landstar President and CEO. “Everyone in the network, from agents to BCOs to employees, knows it’s all about doing the right thing. That means doing it safely, doing it securely, and showcasing our commitment to service on every load, every day.”
“In today's transportation environment, access to the right equipment matters,” said Matt Miller, Vice President and Chief Safety & Operations Officer. “Our investment in 2,000 new dry van trailers strengthens the Landstar network and reinforces the principles that have defined Landstar for decades: safety, security, and service.”
More than a new look, the refreshed trailer design highlights the principles that have long guided Landstar’s network.
Building on its iconic “big blue star,” the refreshed design prominently features Landstar’s brand pillars of safety, security, and service. In addition to updated branding, the 2,000 dry van trailers include pulsating brake lights intended to increase safety through trailer visibility, security-related components intended to help deter theft, and flip-style hazmat placards that support compliance efforts.
Scheduled for delivery throughout the rest of 2026, the new trailers bolster Landstar's commitment to safety, operational excellence, and the independent business owners who move freight across North America every day, according to the company.
