A truck carrying 428 hives filled with some 14 million honeybees tipped over, spilling its cargo on I-5 near I-405 in Lynwood, Wash. at about 3:30 a.m. Friday, snarling traffic and requiring the services of numerous bee wranglers. About half the hives and their bees were rescued. The cargo was valued at $92,000. The driver, who was not identified by authorities, was not injured. The bees were being transported to a blueberry farm in Lynden, Wash. for pollination.
