On Wednesday, June 15 you’ll have an opportunity to be part of a unique event that marks the creation of a new community for women who drive trucks for a living.
At 7 p.m. CST Wednesday, the folks involved in She Drives Trucks will host an online chat. During that time, you’ll have an opportunity to meet the editors of She Drives and get to know some of the women who have agreed to be part of an advisory group for the newsletter/website.
But, more than that, you can be part of a conversation about the issues that make your job so enjoyable and/or so frustrating. You’ll be able to ask questions, get answers or just vent a bit with your online colleagues.
It can be lonely sometimes doing what you do. Even with a CB, a smartphone and the folks where you pick up and deliver, you still may need someone to talk to. Especially, about those things you may not wish to share with the boss.
In addition, the editors of She Drives want to hear what you like, what you don’t and the kinds of stories you want to read and issues you’d like to see addressed in future editions.
To participate, all you have to do is sign up in advance and then log in at 7 p.m. CST Wednesday. Our plan is to spend about an hour in a free-flowing, multi-person instant message conversation.
Come early and stay late to get the most out of the chat and meet the most folks. There’s another benefit to hanging out with us: you’ll be entered in a drawing for one of two $100 Visa gift cards at the end of the chat.
