1959 Freightliner Sightliner
When the American Truck Historical Society gathered in York, Pa. in late May, it attracted more than 1,000 trucks of all shapes, sizes and vintages. One of the more unusual ones on display was a 1959 cab over model made by International called the Sightliner. You can see it looked like a conventional truck cut off at the firewall and two extra windows installed about at the knee level of the driver. They were not terribly popular because the lower windows were easily broken by stones and other road debris. Get a closer look at this odd little COE from 1959.
