Mack today confirmed it will bring to GATS the recently restored truck used by the great motorcycle stuntman Evel Knievel during his legendary career. Along with the 1974 Mack FS786LST cabover used to haul Knievel, his motorcycles and gear will be much of the memorabilia from his career.

“Evel Knievel was bold and determined,” said John Walsh of Mack of the company’s involvement with the project to restore the truck and create the traveling display. “We share some of the same fundamental values – hard work, reliability, accountability and courage. At Mack, we are proud of our 115 years in the U.S.A., and to once again be the truck delivering the Evel Knievel experience across the country.”

The permanent Evel Knievel exhibit will ultimately be housed at Historic Harley-Davidson in Topeka, Kan., where the final full restoration of the was performed.
