A new recall from Volvo Trucks North America has been issued for more than 11,000 VNL and VNX trucks for a problem with the sleeper bunk window, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration documents.

The recall affects about 11,089 model year 2018-2020 VNL and VNX trucks configured as 740 and 760 sleeper models. In these trucks, the sleeper bunk window could detach and fall from the truck. The company says the adhesive bond between the glass and window hinge may prematurely fail, causing the window to fall.

Volvo is notifying affected truck owners, and dealers are replacing the window hinge for free. Owners can contact Volvo customer service at 1-800-528-6586 with recall number RVXX1902.NHTSA’s recall number is 19V-208.
