Big Mike Mason is a different kind of truck driver. Instead of ordinary freight, Mason hauls what it takes to make millions of Parrotheads happy: He’s the lead truck driver from Jimmy Buffet when he’s on tour. Mason oversees the eight-truck convoy that delivers equipment from concert to concert for Buffet, and makes sure things get unloaded and loaded properly. He’s been full-time with the Buffet organization for more than 20 years and, oddly, says the part of his job he likes least is the driving.
