Severe winter weather conditions Saturday caused two separate pile-ups — one with 17 vehicles and another with 15 — on Highway 43 near Fox Creek in Alberta, Canada. One man is reported to have died in one of the mishaps; no other details on injuries were available. One motorist told Global News that a trucker coming up on the accident drove off the highway to avoid hitting other vehicles.
