1980-heaviest-haul

Almost 40 years ago, the VSL Corporation moved a huge piece of equipment to a nuclear power plant in Tennessee. It was 80 feet long, 26 feet in diameter and the entire load tipped the scales at more than 2 million pounds. At the time, it was the heaviest load to ever cross a U.S. highway. This video from 1980 shows what it took to make this 47-mile move.
