This Encyclopedia Britannica film follows Tom Dwyer, a driver for Norwalk Trucking Lines out of Chicago in the 1950’s with a “hot load” to Sandusky, Ohio, 340 miles east. It shows life on the road, and what it took to drive in that era. There’s even a little highway drama. My, how have things changed since then.
