Numerous trucks involved in 46-vehicle Ohio Turnpike pileup

Authorities say four people died and several more were injured Friday, Dec. 23 during a huge pileup on the Ohio Turnpike that involved 46 vehicles including at least 15 commercial vehicles.

The series of collisions occurred in the eastbound lanes near Sandusky Friday afternoon during severe blizzard-like conditions caused by the massive storm sweeping the country.

Buses were used to take people from their vehicles to a local facility so they could stay warm.

Ohio State Highway Patrol continues its investigation.
