Video captures Idaho trooper's close call with speeding tractor-trailer

In a social media post made on Monday, March 4, the Idaho State Police said one of its troopers was working near Meridian west of Boise On Interstate 84 when this incident happened.

The video shows the officer sprinting from his squad car into the snow-covered median. Moments later, a tractor-trailer barreled into the snow, sliding to a halt.

ISP said the trucker crashed because he wasn't paying attention and didn't see the road flares, lights, and arrows.

"Move over for emergency vehicles—it's the law! When you spot flashing lights, slow down and change lanes safely," ISP said. "Your attention could mean the difference between life and death."
