Updated Aug 23, 2024

A Union Pacific train smashed through a car hauler that was stopped on the tracks near North Little Rock, Arkansas Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 20, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office.

The Arkansas Democrat Gazette said the driver identified himself as Corey Woods of Dallas. Woods said he was crossing the tracks when his trailer became stuck with its front and back wheels unable to touch the ground. He got out of the truck and called for a wrecker when he realized a train was coming and ran for cover, he said. Woods was only slightly injured and was treated at the scene.
