Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock Holmes in the BBC hit TV Show Sherlock) stars as Alan Turig in this Oscar-nominated movie about the brilliant man who helped crack German codes created by the Enigma Machine during World War II. It is a story about the work he and his team did, but also about Turig himself and the personal issues that dogged him as he worked to save Britain and after the war. The Imitation Game also stars Keira Knightley, who joins the code-breaking team and married Turig.
