So, you’re in the process of updating your home’s kitchen when the idea strikes you,”If only I could have that expensive new refrigerator look like the front of the truck I drive all week long!”
Well, now it can.
An Australian design company called Forty Horse offers custom printed graphics you can easily apply to the front of your chill chest. They even make some for small refrigerators generally used outdoors or college dorm rooms.
They have graphics of the fronts of several brands of trucks: Peterbilt, Western Star, Mack, Freightliner, Freightliner cabover, Kenworth K, Kenworth T609 and Kenworth T909.
Graphics for standard refrigerators cost $100 (Australian) and $130 for side-by-side models. Graphics for smaller models are $60.
Want to get even cooler? Forty Horse will print a custom graphic of your own particular truck. Yes, your truck can also be your refrigerator; its only $30 more.
Here’s how Forty Horse describes their product:
“These graphics will be custom made to your fridge’s specific measurements and are digitally printed to vinyl which is rated 3 years for outdoors (much longer indoors!) with a clear gloss laminate for scratch protection.
“They are shipped in a single sheet that you then trim to your particular fridge/freezer combination. They will suit any single door combination – freezer may be on the top or on the bottom. As well as the french door type fridges (two doors up top and single freezer down the bottom.) We send out detailed installation instructions with each set.
“They are designed to fit best on straight edge to slightly curved edge fridges. Not really suited for the retro style round edge fridges. If your doors have protuding handles rather than moulded ones, you will need to check if they can be removed before installation…look for screws or the ability to slide them off. Otherwise, you may need to get creative with trimming around them!”
