A sad story about a great country music talent will be told in a new movies set to debut just as the holiday shopping season begins. I Saw The Light, the story of country crooner Hank Williams debuts on Black friday, Nov. 27. Tom Hiddleston (Loki in the Marvel movies Thor, The Avengers and Thor: The Dark World) stars as Williams and reportedly does his own singing, no small task when the tale is about one of the great voices of country music, and you’re an Englishman. I Saw the Light tells of Williams’ rise to fame and how his career and life were cut short by pain and substance abuse;  Williams was just 29 when he died on New Year’s Day in 1953. Elizabeth Olsen portrays the country star’s wife Audrey (and mother to Hank Williams Jr.) and Bradley Whitford stars as music publisher and songwriter Fred Rose. Williams was best known for songs such as Your Cheatin’ Heart, Jambalaya, Lovesick Blues, I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry and Cold, Cold Heart.
