Tow truck funeral procession honors truck driver

Tow truck funeral procession

A procession of tow truck drivers from across the Northeast came together to honor the life of one of their own who died on the job. John Martins was on his way to a crash in Connecticut Sept. 4 when he lost control of his flatbed truck after one of his tires blew out on Interstate 95. He slid down an embankment and crashed into a tree. He passed away three weeks later. The tow truck funeral procession began at a parking lot in Lincoln, R.I. Oct. 2 and ended at the Gate of Heaven cemetery in Riverside. Martins was 52 and was from Pawtucket, R.I.
