If you’re still on Netflix‘s grandfathered-in $7.99 a month plan, be prepared for some changes.
Subscribers on the old plan will have the choice of continuing with it but being downgraded to standard-definition streaming or upgrading to the company’s $9.99 a month plan to continue receiving high-definition streaming.
The $9.99 plan is the current rate for a standard Netflix subscription; $7.99 was its original standard rate, which was phased out.
