The trucking tradition that is the Great American Trucking Show got under way in Dallas today with more than 500 vendors filling the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
The show runs through 5 p.m. today and is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
After the show today is the Progressive Commercial Roadhouse 5K run and one mile walk at Trinity Groves. The race is supported by Right Weigh Load Scales. Registration is at 6:30 p.m. and the race steps off at 7:15 p.m.
If you’re visiting GATS Friday, you can take in:
- two Partners in Business seminars at noon and 2 p.m.
- the presentation of Trucking’s Top Rookie at 1:30 p.m. on the Truckers News Stage in Hall “A”
- the finals of the Overdrive-Red Eye Radio Trucker Talent search at 3 p.m. on the Truckers News Stage
- the Take A Load Off post-show part sponsored by Uber Freight at Eddie Deen’s Roadhouse from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
