As another holiday arrives, America’s truckers are ever more essential, especially as they deliver the ingredients for one of the iconic meals of the year: Thanksgiving dinner.
According to the American Trucking Associations, U.S. drivers will have delivered:
- 1.4 billion lbs. of turkey (some 46 million birds)
- 214 million lbs. of potatoes
- 50 million lbs. of sweet potatoes
- 19 million pumpkin pies
- 80 million lbs. of cranberries
