Trimac Transportation, a large bulk carrier with offices in Houston, recently announced a new commercial driver’s license tuition reimbursement program.
According to a statement from Trimac, the new program will pay qualifying students monthly until the tuition has been fully reimbursed or the employee is no longer with the company, up to a maximum of $5,000. To be eligible for this program, drivers must attend a Trimac-approved driving school. (The list of approved schools is on the company’s website.)
This program is for U.S. drivers only.
“Professional CDL-A drivers are the backbone of the transportation industry and keep America moving,” said Tonja Wilhelms, U.S. recruiting manager for Trimac. “With that in mind, we at Trimac want to invest in those individuals who want to pursue this career by assisting with out-of-pocket tuition costs incurred in making this rewarding career choice.”
Trimac has more than 100 branches throughout North America and operates more than 1,000 tractors and 2,000 bulk trailers just in its U.S.-based operations.
