Texas college opening truck driving school

South Plains College in Lubbock, Texas, is opening a CDL training program Jan. 28 at its Reese Center facility.

The course runs for four weeks with 210 hours of instruction. New classes will start every two weeks. The program can accommodate 12-18 students per class. It costs $4,995.

Students must be pre-approved through the American Truck Driving School, be 21 years old, and have a valid Texas drivers license to be eligible for the program.
