A new truck driver training program at North Idaho College will allow students to meet CDL requirements in Idaho and Washington.
North Idaho College is partnering with the Spokane-based Drive509 CDL school to offer the four-week training program. Drive509 is accredited through the Washington State Workforce Training and Education Board for CDL training in Washington and also has approval to provide training in Idaho.
The first class began March 18. Students will complete the classroom requirements at the Parker Technical Education Center in Rathdrum before moving on to the NIC Aerospace Center in Hayden to get their hands-on driver training.
