Yes, it's a pain, but it's time to set your clocks back an hour this weekend

We hate to be a nag, but Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend and you'll need to set your clocks back by an hour.

It ends officially at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 7 so you may wish to set your clocks back when you crawl into your sleeper berth Saturday night. You also may wish to factor that change into your trip planning if you're driving overnight or need to be someplace first thing Sunday.

What you most likely will not have to reset is your smartphone's clock, and that on your laptop or tablet. Likewise, most ELDs adjust for the time change on their own, but be sure to check the manual or with your driver manager to be sure.

The time change means it will get dark earlier, so may mean you have to make some driving adjustments, and also be alert to others on the highway as they cope with driving in the dark earlier.
