10-minute walk can help offset problems caused by sitting

No one has to tell you that you spend too much time sitting. It’s an unavoidable part of being a truck driver. And, unlike desk jockeys who spend their entire work day in front of a computer instead of behind a windshield, you cannot always get up and stretch your legs. But, there is some good news. Researchers at the University of Missouri School of Medicine suggest that a 10-minute walk — just 1,000 steps — can help undo some of the health problems created by decreased flood flow through your legs caused by sitting.
