Water: What happens if you get too little or too much?

Most of us grew up with this bit of advice ringing in our ears: Drink eight glasses of water every day.

Recent research suggests, however, that’s more of a guideline rather than a hard and fast rule.

Still, drinking water is not just a fact of life, but also essential to it. Experts insist we need to take in as much water every day as we lose through sweating, going to the bathroom, exercise, strenuous work and even breathing. If we don’t, we get dehydrated and that’s not a good thing.

Preachy as they may be, these two videos offer some good advice on why you need to drink enough water, but also what happens if you drink too much.
