For The Road

A Man Jogging on the RoadRegistration is now open for the fourth annual Truckin’ Runners‘ Virtual 5K, benefitting the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund.

The run is a virtual 5k, meaning it can be completed from anywhere on an individual’s own time. Participants may run or walk the 5k distance. The online event is scheduled for Oct. 22-28 and registration can be completed via the event’s Facebook page. Participants are encouraged to make a donation to the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund, but there is no minimum donation amount set.

Runners will track their race time via smartphone, app, FitBit, smartwatch, or any other applicable method and will submit it to the race director via the event’s Facebook page after they’ve completed their 5k.

The event’s organizers are also planning to sell race shirts, with shirt proceeds going to the St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund.

Truckin’ Runners is an online community of truck drivers who also are avid runners.
