TW Transport of Spokane, Wash., increased pay for solo drivers to 40 cents per mile and team drivers to 50 cents per mile. These changes come in addition to a $1,500 sign-on bonus for solo drivers and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for teams.
“The transportation industry has seen many changes throughout the years, but pay has always been ‘the bottom line,’ ” says James Eckhardt, operations manager. “Drivers want to take home a stable paycheck and provide for all the family needs. We are striving to sustain the best fleet of drivers.”
