Eggs. Cheese. Meat.
While that may sound like a shopping list, it actually was the debris field at a three-truck accident in Tennessee Sunday … an expensive one.
Media reports say a truck carrying eggs overturned on I-24 in Monteagle near Chattanooga blocking traffic. Another truck, carrying meat stopped. A third truck, this one carrying cheese, hit the second truck.
A newspaper report says the meat alone in the veritable supermarket of cargo spilled on the interstate was worth some $3 million.
And, in Michigan today, it was mail that spilled across a highway in suburban Detroit.
