FedEx workers reject Teamsters in WV

FedEx workers rejected the Teamsters in West Virginia recently

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters lost their attempt to unionize the FedEx Corp. facility in Charleston, W.V.

FedEx Corp. said today the vote at the facility took place on Jan. 15, but the votes were not counted until Wednesday because the National Labor Relations Board had to rule on which workers could be included in the vote.

The Teamsters last month withdrew a vote at a FedEx Freight facility in Nashville.

“FedEx Freight drivers continue to reject the union and demonstrate their strong preference for a direct relationship with the company,” the company said in a statement.

FedEx has some 19,000 drivers.
