K & B raises compensation for drivers

Pay improved at K & B

As of Monday (March 30) all new hires at K&B Transportation will start at 45 cents per mile.

The company says mileage pay was boosted by 3 cents per mile last year and was boosted an additional 4 cents per mile this year.

Bonuses and accessory pay is on top of this amount, according to a statement released by the company.

The increase includes scheduled raises, with senior drivers topping out at 50 cents per mile. This increase will place most K & B drivers in the $60,000-$70,000 yearly pay range, says the company.

K&B Transportation maintains its 2,500 mile guarantee: when drivers are on the road Monday-Monday, and if they do not travel at least 2,500 miles, the company pays the difference.

Based in South Sioux City, Neb., K & B is a major temperature-controlled fleet operating in the central part of the country.
