FMCSA asking carriers for drug test results

Carriers being asked for drug test information

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announced last week it has started the process of notifying certain trucking companies to submit their drug and alcohol testing results to the agency.

The agency selects at random carriers to submit results, and it will notify them via email.

“Those selected are responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of their data submission,” FMCSA’s announcement says. “Instructions on how to respond and qualifying exemptions are included in the notification.”

Selected carriers must submit their 2014 testing results by May 15, FMCSA said.
