Hillary cites truckers in hammering tax rates for fund managers

The 2016 race for the White House is just getting under way, and already the nation’s truck drivers are part of the discussion.

In Iowa launching her bid for the Democratic nomination for president, Hillary Clinton used truck drivers as an example of tax rate inequity. The Reuters news service Tuesday (April 14) quotes the controversial Democrat as saying:

“There is something wrong when hedge fund managers pay lower tax rates than nurses or the truckers that I saw on I-80 as I was driving here over the last two days.”
