Minority Trucking Association and SelecTrucks strike deal

The National Minority Trucking Association (NMTA) announced the launch of a partnership with SelecTrucks, a division of Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA). This partnership makes it possible for both NMTA members to purchase used trucks.

Under the partnership, NMTA members will be able to participate in programs to assist in purchasing a truck that, according to a statement from the two, “… will help their bottom line without sacrificing the quality and safety of their truck fleet.”

According to a statement from NMTA  and DTNa, the association’s members have the choice of $3,000 toward a down payment match, $3,000 toward the purchase of new tires, or $3,000 toward the purchase of warranty on any qualifying truck they buy from a SelecTrucks Center. In addition, each eligible vehicle sold to a NTMA member will include a one-year, RoadSide Select membership which provides 24/7 roadside assistance on services such as towing, flat tire repair and winching/extraction.

SelecTrucks offers a selection of used trucks throughout its retail network of commercial  dealerships across the U.S. and Canada. SelecTrucks Centers offer customers used trucks, with warranties, and a variety of financing options. With this partnership, NMTA members can visit any of the 23 SelecTrucks locations and work with a used truck sales person during their truck purchase process.

“NMTA is always looking for opportunities to provide benefits and cost savings to our members so forging a partnership with SelecTrucks just made good sense,” said Kevin Reid, CEO of NMTA.

“SelecTrucks is serious about trucking and we believe that our corporate efforts to drive diversity will enrich our customers’ businesses and thus the industry overall,” said Angelique Pierce, manager of marketing and pricing for Daimler Trucks Remarketing.

NMTA members can call (877) 503-1840 or visit www.SelecTrucks.com for more information.
