Trucker festival in Branson moves from August to October

An inaugural trucking event planned for later this month in Branson, Mo. has been rescheduled for October.

The popular entertainment resort of Branson, Mo. remains the site of the rescheduled American truckers’ Festival.

The American Truckers’ Festival originally planned for Aug. 13-15 has been moved to Oct. 9-11.

A post on the festival’s Facebook page said:

“Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have been forced to reschedule the American Truckers’ Festival … We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and will work with our Vendors and Sponsors to make the transition not only easy, but beneficial, as well.

“This change will also allow us to move the Show from its original Thursday, Friday and Saturday format to a Friday, Saturday and Sunday format, which had been an issue for many exhibitors who wished to attend. As a result, we believe that we will have an even bigger and better show than we had already expected, and that this will benefit all exhibitors.

“The new schedule will cause some other changes to the program, including changes to some of the performers who will be appearing. The new schedule will be announced as soon as it is solidified.

“It is very difficult to choose a final date, at times, since there are so many shows in our industry, almost every weekend of the year. We believe that this change in dates will allow greater attendance and industry participation.
