If you haven’t already gotten your flu shot yet, here’s some good news: you can get your flu shot for free.
The St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund has partnered with XPO Logistics, Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association and The Little Clinics (TLC) to offer free flu shots to valid CDL holders. The flu shots are available at either Walgreens or TLC locations with a voucher.
With all the people that drivers interact with, they’re particularly vulnerable to the flu. It takes two weeks for the flu vaccine to protect you from the flu, so the earlier a driver gets the shot, the better.
“The flu spreads so easily. Through a cough, through a sneeze. It’s on everything you touch,” said Donna Kennedy, executive director of the St. Christopher’s Development and Relief Fund.
CDL holders may request a free flu shot voucher by emailing [email protected] and requesting either a Walgreens or a TLC voucher. This service will be available through the flu season.
