TravelCenters of America raised $278,095 for the St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund through its annual “Band Together for SCF” campaign.
The customer and employee donations were collected during the month of August at 238 TA Petro locations nationwide. TA Petro’s support of SCF has helped the charity assist more than 1,600 truckers, says SCF Director Donna Kennedy.
The SCF helps truckers who are suffering financial hardship because of medical issues.
“Once again, TravelCenters of America, their employees and their customer have come through for professional drivers,” Kennedy said. “We feel blessed to be in a position to receive such generous donations; they will go a long way in helping drivers in need.”
