Clifford Viessman passes; he was 86

The patriarch of one of the leading haulers of food-grade liquid bulk products has passed.

According to a post on the Facebook page of Cliff Viessman, Inc. company founder and President Clifford Viessman died Wednesday, Dec. 28 at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Dawson, Minnesota. He was 86 years old.

The post said:

“It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of our founder and fearless leader, Clifford Viessman. Cliff passed away peacefully this afternoon. Cliff was a passionate businessman with a pioneering spirit, but more importantly he was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed!”

Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec, 30, 2016 form 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church. The funeral is Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church in Clarkfield, Minnesota.

There will also be visitation at the church one hour before the service on Saturday.

The company is based in Gary, South Dakota.
