If Rhode Island is your destination, you need a “Plan B.”

The Rhode Island State Police just Tweeted:

“Governor (Gina) Raimondo has ordered a ban on travel for tractor trailer trucks starting at noon until 9:00 PM tonight on all state roads. Stay off the roads and stay safe!”

The winter storm — called by the Weather Channel “an explosive nor’easter — moving up the East Coast is causing blizzard conditions with heavy snowfalls and high winds up the coast of New Jersey, across Long Island, into New England and on to southeast Canada.

Providence and Newport expect to get as much as 14 inches of snow and possible zero visibility as Winter Storm Grayson passes through.

The National Weather Service reports that three people have died in storm-related mishaps.
