In a press conference Wednesday, TMAF leaders recapped the organization’s accomplishments with its 2017 annual report. The money it raised in 2017 contributed to billboard campaigns that reached an estimated 17.4 million people and radio advertising heard by 26.6 million people during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. TMAF online advertisements reached over 500,000 people. TMAF trailer wraps now appear on 184 trailers nationally.
In 2017, TMAF introduced its new mascot, Safety Sammy. Safety Sammy will appear at the Mid-America Trucking Show for the first time March 22-24 in Louisville, Kentucky.
