A truck driver died Thursday, April 5, from injuries received when he was run over by his own truck while detaching the trailer.
The accident happened in Roanoke, Virginia. Police there responded to a call about a body in the street and found the man near a parked tractor trailer.
Police determined the driver had left the truck in neutral when he exited the cab to detach the trailer. Police told WDBJ News they believe the truck rolled and struck the driver while he worked to disconnect the trailer.
The name of the man killed in the accident has not yet been released.
