The Times of London posted this photo of a tractor-trailer that ran down an escape ramp on a mountain on the Kunming-Mohan highway in China’s Yunnan province recently. The newspaper said the driver and a passenger smashed through the windshield but were caught in a massive safety net, keeping them from falling off the 330-foot cliff.
The Times quotes the unidentified driver, “If not for the net, we would’ve been goners.”
