Trucker who died helping motorist identified

A truck driver who was hit and killed by another truck while trying to help a pickup truck driver fix a flat tire on their camper has been identified by authorities as 62-year-old Randal W. Landwehr from Marathon, Wisconsin.

The accident occurred Sept. 4 along I-39 southbound in Rothschild, Wisconsin near mile marker 186. Landwehr drove for B&K Trucking and was an over the road driver for over 35 years, according to his obituary. His family says he was known to lend a hand or ear to anyone who needed him.

The Wisconsin State Patrol reported that Landwehr was hit and killed by another trucker while walking back to his truck to retrieve his tools.
