Driver dies in 200-foot fall into canyon

A truck driver was killed after his truck apparently drove over a concrete barrier and crashed 200 feet below into Eagle Canyon along I-70 in Utah, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. The accident appears to have happened overnight Sept. 15, according to authorities, but was not reported to UHP until around 2 p.m. the following day.

UHP has identified the driver as 42-year-old Thomas Bowler from Bunkerville, Nevada. The crash is under investigation.
