A tractor-trailer loaded with paper caught fire while parked at the fuel island of the New Stanton service plaza of the Pennsylvania Turnpike southeast of Pittsburgh early this morning.

No one was injured in the fire that occurred at about 3:25 a.m. today.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says the cause of the fire is still being investigated.

The service plaza, which is located at mile marker 77.6 in Westmoreland County, was evacuated. The restaurant and restrooms have reopened but there is no fuel service.
