ABF Freight driver crowned Arkansas grand champion

ABF Freight’s David Hall was named grand champion at the Arkansas Truck Driving Championship, held July 11-13 in Rogers. Hall won first place in the 5-axle class and also won an award for sportsmanship.

FedEx Freight driver Waylon Wylie took home the Rookie of the Year title after also winning first place in the 4-axle class.

The winners were:

  • Straight Truck: James Ross, FedEx Freight
  • 3-Axle: Joseph Wash, FedEx Freight
  • 4-Axle: Waylon Wylie, FedEx Freight
  • 5-Axle: David Hall, ABF Freight
  • Sleeper Berth: Loren Hatfield, ABF Freight
  • Flatbed: Gary Mars, Walmart Transportation
  • Tank Truck: Mark Akin, Walmart Transportation
  • Twin Trailers: Jeff Cochran, FedEx Freight
  • Step Van: Eric Brockette, FedEx Freight
  • Large Team Award: Walmart Transportation
  • Small Team Award: ABF Freight
  • Sportsmanship Award: David Hall, ABF Freight
