Florida owner-op receives Landstar achievement award

Landstar System recognized owner-operator Art Trezise, of Springhill, Florida, with the fleet’s BCO (Business Capacity Owner) Lifetime Achievement Award. Trezise received the award during Landstar’s annual BCO All-Star Celebration in Savannah, Georgia, July 2.

Trezise leased to Landstar in 1979 and has driven more than 3.5 million miles at Landstar without incident. Trezise was recognized as a Three Million Mile Safe Driver in 2012. He was named a Landstar Roadstar recipient in 2011, which is was one of Landstar’s highest awards for owner-operators and recognizes them for high levels of safety, productivity and excellence.

“The BCO Lifetime Achievement Award is the perfect way to honor this 40-year safe driver,” said Landstar CEO and President Jim Gattoni. “The award is a testament to Art’s professionalism and excellence as an independent owner-operator at Landstar.”

Landstar recognized 176 of its owner-operators during the event. It also inducted 14 owner-operators as Roadstar recipients, 137 as new Million Mile Safe Drivers, 22 as Two Million Mile Safe Drivers and two as Three Million Mille Safe Drivers.
