The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is holding four webinars for the trucking industry next month to explain and answer questions about the mandated use of electronic logging devices.
Dec. 16 is the deadline for all motor carriers and drivers subject to the ELD rule to be using them to record hours-of-service data. Some carriers have been using an automatic on-board recording device (AOBRD) but must switch to an ELD by the deadline.
Sessions for motor carriers and drivers will be held:
- Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2-3 p.m. EST Webinar Full | Register—phone only
- Thursday, Aug. 15, 1-2 p.m. EST Webinar Full | Register—phone only
- Tuesday, Aug. 20, 11 a.m.-noon EST Register—webinar | Register—phone only
- Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2-3 p.m. EST Register—webinar | Register—phone only
Space is limited, according to the FMCSA. Recordings of the sessions will be made available on the ELD website.
FMCSA is developing a set of self-guided eLearning lessons. These lessons may address some of the questions you have, or may inspire new questions you can submit to FMCSA during the live Q&A session. Register for a Q&A session now, and a link will be emailed to registered participants when these eLearning lessons are available.
Information about these Q&A sessions is also available on the News and Events page of the ELD website.
